Human trafficking often hides in plain sight.

See something, say something… safely!

Human trafficking often hides in plain sight. Trucks stops, hotels, online, cars and strip clubs, and large events can be hotspots for crime. If we can recognize the signs, we can stop it:

  • Look for individuals who seem controlled, like they’re unable to speak for themselves or appear fearful. Someone being closely monitored or coached in what to say may be a victim. Often victims are underage. They are often trained to pretend that what they’re doing is their choice.

  • If you suspect trafficking, contact local law enforcement or the National Human Trafficking Hotline. DO NOT INTERVENE DIRECTLY. Your call could save a life.

  • If you see something suspicious, it’s crucial to report it and do not engage with any activity as it can be very dangerous.
